Description

For centuries, Rosehip (Rosa affinis rubiginosa) has grown wild in the pristine Andean highlands of central-southern Chile. The oil obtained from its seeds was a traditional remedy for treating wounds, burns, and chapped skin among the Araucanian Indians, who would rub it on themselves when necessary.
Its use consists of simply applying the pure product with a gentle massage to the area to be treated for a few minutes until completely absorbed.
The cosmetic properties of this oil, considered, following in-depth studies conducted in Europe and the USA, a proven " cell regenerator," derive from its high content of essential fatty acids, which, as is known, by promoting the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, have stimulating and repairing properties in the physiological processes of the epidermis. This makes it an ideal product for combating and/or reducing skin wrinkles. It is therefore not a cosmetic oil intended solely for the usual hydrating/derma-protective function but a true natural regenerator, excellent in the treatment of wounds, ulcers and abrasions, as well as an effective remedy for fragile and dull nails.

Botany

Rosehip is a plant native to Europe, but also widespread in many regions of the Southern Hemisphere, where it is often an invasive species. It is a shrub up to three meters tall that, especially in summer, exudes a distinctive apple scent. It has a taproot and drooping stems with thorns and oval, serrated leaves. The flowers are pink or white; approximately two months after blooming, a false fruit ripens containing the seeds that produce the well-known cosmetic oil.
