Property

Palmarosa essential oil, non-toxic and non-irritating, has bactericidal, stimulating, tonic, and insect-repellent properties. This last property can be exploited using a diffuser.
Effective in soothing acne and dermatitis, this essential oil is a true natural cosmetic, thanks to its ability to regulate sebum; it is also excellent for treating scars, wounds, and wrinkles.
Generally, however, it is preferable to use it dissolved in almond oil (or sesame oil) to avoid irritation even for the most sensitive skin.
It blends well with the essential oils of cedar, geranium, rosewood, rose, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, as well as oakmoss absolute.

Uses

Palmarosa essential oil is widely used in the production of soaps, cosmetics, and perfumes due to its renowned tenacity.
In the past, it was the classic natural product used to adulterate the very expensive rose essential oil.
Technical and safety documentation for the product is available upon request.

Botany

Also known as "Indian Geranium", Palmarosa is a wild herbaceous plant with long, slender stems ending in flower heads. Its leaves are very fragrant. Native to the Indo-Pakistani region, it is found in Brazil, Africa, Indonesia, and the Comoros Islands.
