Property
Mildly sedative, myrtle essential oil has balsamic and antiseptic properties. It is also excellent for counteracting oily skin.
It harmonizes perfectly with the essential oils of bergamot, clove, hyssop, noble laurel, lavender, litsea cubeba, lemon balm, ravensara, rosemary, and ginger.

Botany
It is a small evergreen shrub native to North Africa with thick, sturdy branches, sharp, bright green leathery leaves, and pinkish-white flowers. Its leaves and flowers are very fragrant.
