Description

Our thematic essence is a tenacious high perfumery fragrance that reproduces with surprising authenticity the delicate floral note released by violet flowers in spring.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special transparent heat-shrink polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with regulations) its tamper-proof nature.

Extraction

The natural essence of Violet that inspires our floral composition is a precious natural absolute extracted from flowers; it appears as a yellow-green liquid with a sweet, rich floral scent that, like our thematic fragrance, blends beautifully with the essential oils of Orange, Basil, Cumin, Tarragon, Neroli, Rose, Clary Sage, as well as with floral essences in general.

Property

The violet plant has a long tradition in herbal medicine; its leaves—a true natural mouthwash—have been used for centuries to treat oral infections. In ancient times, the scent of violets was believed to have the power to "comfort the heart."

Uses

Violet absolute extracted from the flower is virtually impossible to find and is extremely expensive. In fine perfumery, however, to create sophisticated compositions, the absolute extracted from the green part of the plant is used (albeit rarely). This, too, is a very expensive raw material and not readily available to the end consumer, given its pungent, herbaceous odor and colloidal consistency. As an alternative to the extremely expensive natural absolute extracted from the flowers, we have therefore composed our Violet fragrance: a fine perfumery creation with a warm and seductive note that is used in perfumery, cosmetics, and, occasionally, even soap making.

Botany

Native to Europe, the violet is also known as "mammola". It is a small, delicate herbaceous perennial plant up to fifteen centimeters tall, with heart-shaped leaves, fragrant indigo-blue flowers, and creeping roots. It is grown in gardens around the world as an ornamental. There are over two hundred species, but only the "Parma" and "Victoria" varieties are sought after for their precious aromatic properties.
