Description

Thematic fragrance of high perfumery.
PS: Product also available as a pure essential oil.
Our Vetiver fragrance is an intriguing oriental scent with a woody-earthy nature.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special transparent heat-shrink polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with the regulations) its tamper-proof nature.

Extraction

Natural vetiver essential oil (contained in our thematic composition) is obtained by steam distillation of the dried and macerated roots of the plant. It appears as a viscous, amber-brown liquid with a pleasant, woody-earthy, oriental aroma. It blends excellently with the essential oils of yarrow, agarwood, ambrette, lavender, opoponax, patchouli, rose, clary sage, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, and oakmoss absolute.

Uses

Our Vetiver thematic composition is commonly used as a fragrance ingredient in soaps, cosmetics and perfumes with a warm-oriental note.

Botany

Also known as "Khus khus", vetiver is native to southern India, Ceylon, and Indonesia. It is a fragrant and extremely hardy herbaceous perennial plant with tufts of long, narrow leaves and brown-purple flowers. Its complex network of underground rootlets that penetrate deep into the soil makes it often used to consolidate landslide-prone soils.
Vetiver is grown primarily in Japan, Indochina, the Philippines, Pakistan, and South America.
