Description

Herbaceous-citric fragrance.
PS: Product also available as a pure essential oil.
Our Verbena essence represents a high-perfumery citric composition alternative to the now rare natural essential oil.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with the regulations) its tamper-evident nature.

Extraction

The natural essential oil of Verbena (present in our composition) is obtained by steam distilling all the green parts of the plant and appears as a clear liquid, light olive or yellowish in color, with a fresh, lemony-fruity scent with floral undertones. Like our thematic fragrance, it harmonizes well with the essential oils of Bergamot, Cedar, Elemi, Frankincense, Lemon, Melissa, Neroli, Olibanum, Palmarosa, Ravensara, and all citrus oils in general.

Uses

Our Verbena fragrance is used in perfumery, cosmetics, and soap making as a substitute for the natural equivalent oil, which is not only much more expensive but also (now) restricted by law.

Botany

Also known as lemon verbena, verbena is native to Chile and Argentina. It is currently cultivated in France, Tunisia, Algeria, and China. It is an elegant perennial shrub up to five meters tall, with a woody stem, lanceolate green leaves, and purple flowers. It is often found as an ornamental plant in gardens. The dried leaves have been used for centuries to prepare herbal teas and home-made liqueurs.
