Description

Herbaceous fragrance.
PS: Product also available as a pure essential oil.
Our thematic essence is a high-perfumery composition also containing a fraction of natural essential oil.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with the regulations) its tamper-evident integrity.

Extraction

Valerian's natural essential oil (which inspired our composition) is obtained by water distillation of the roots.
It appears as a straw-yellow liquid that turns brown as it matures, with a typical woody, grassy-balsamic, warm scent with a mossy undertone. It blends well with the essential oils of bucco, cedar, lavender, mandarin, patchouli, petitgrain, pine, rosemary, vetiver, and oakmoss absolute.

Uses

Our Valerian essence is used in the composition of fragrances with a mossy-sylvan note and, sometimes, in soap making.

Botany

Also known as "catnip", valerian is native to Eurasia; today it has become naturalized in America. It is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows primarily in wooded areas. It grows up to one and a half meters tall and has dark leaves, numerous lightly scented purplish-white flowers, and fleshy, highly fragrant superficial roots. It is currently cultivated primarily in Europe, Russia, and China.
