Description

Stabilized natural essential oil.
PS: Product also available as a pure essential oil.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with regulations) its tamper-proof nature.

Extraction

Pine essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of needles and twigs. It is a nearly colorless liquid with a fresh, woody, and balsamic scent. It blends beautifully with the essential oils of caraway, cypress, copaiba, elemi, mint, nutmeg, and ravensara, as well as with spice oils and citrus oils. It is frequently adulterated (if not replaced) with the less valuable Russian fir
essential oil.

Property

In Nordic folk medicine, pine has a long-standing tradition, especially in the treatment of respiratory problems. Siberian pine essential oil, when used in moderation, is completely non-toxic and non-irritating; it has antiseptic, antiviral, bactericidal, balsamic, and deodorant properties. In some Asian regions, it is still the only remedy for pediculosis (lice) and for treating skin afflicted by excessive sweating.

Uses

Pine essential oil is commonly used in cosmetics, soaps, and personal hygiene products (especially bath products). In the past, it was also a key raw material in the paint industry.

Botany

A tree highly resistant to both intense cold and wind, the Siberian pine is native to the Northern Hemisphere (eastern Russia). It grows in Scandinavia, Siberia, Canada, and northern Europe. It is an evergreen shrub that grows to over thirty-five meters tall, with a trunk that can reach two meters in diameter. It has single, needle-like leaves, conical cones, and a conical crown.
