Description

Sweet Amber of the East, formulated from the processing of the natural resinoid of Styrax, represents a high perfumery composition characterized by an enchanting sweet-amber, warm, spicy, oriental note, absolutely identifiable among those who have mentioned the intriguing olfactory experience given only by smelling black Styrax, the well-known natural balm of Asia Minor: a precious aromatic product peculiar to the Aegean regions of Anatolia. A
very tenacious perfume by nature, it has appreciable fixing properties.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml. (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, entirely unique like the perfume it releases.
Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with the regulations) its tamper-evident integrity.

Affinity

Our Sweet Oriental Amber fragrance harmonizes well with oriental perfumes with amber and/or musky notes.

Uses

Our sweet Oriental Amber finds ideal use in perfumery as a component in high-class oriental fragrances as well as a flavouring in cosmetics and luxury soaps.

Botany

From Liquidambar Orientalis, a tall tree that grows in the impenetrable Anatolian forests of Marmaris (also known as "Oriental Sweet Gum "), two irreplaceable aromatic raw materials are obtained: the styrax resinoid, essential in perfumery, extracted from the pathological serum exuded by the plant, and the related balm called black styrax, which is nothing other than the result of a particular maceration process of said resinoid mixed with the shredded bark of the shrub.
These natural products were traded between the Mediterranean shores as early as classical times.
