Our line of fine perfumery fragrances is the result of painstaking research, selection, and composition since 1988. The ongoing selection of raw materials and constant laboratory testing have always allowed us to enrich the olfactory characteristics of our compositions.
The absolute essence obtained from Narcissus flowers is a very expensive product and, above all, practically non-existent on the market; therefore, the essences on the market represent – without exception – compositions created by perfumers. Our Narcissus essence is a high-perfumery fragrance characterized by an elegant floral note that excellently reproduces the narcotic scent spread in gardens by blooming flowers.
Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with regulations) its tamper-evident integrity.
Extraction
After solvent extraction of fresh narcissus flowers, a concrete essence is obtained, which is then distilled into narcissus absolute. It appears as an orange-colored liquid with a powerful, sweet, green-herbal scent and a strong floral-herbaceous undertone. It blends excellently with essential oils of clove, neroli, mimosa, rose, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, floral oils, and spice oils.
Property
Natural narcissus absolute (not this composition) is a true narcotic with antispasmodic properties; a very powerful perfume, it should be used sparingly to avoid unwanted effects. The scent of even small flowers in a closed environment can cause nausea and headaches in some people. In India, narcissus oil is still rubbed on the body (along with rose, sandalwood, and jasmine) before prayers in temples. Ancient Roman perfumers used "narcissum", a solid ointment obtained from narcissus flowers, as an ingredient in their elaborate fragrances. The Arabs considered narcissus a true aphrodisiac as well as an effective remedy for baldness.
Uses
Natural narcissus absolute, a rare and highly prized raw material, was used exclusively in the formulation of high-end narcotic floral perfumes. Our high-end fragrance is used in perfumery, cosmetics, and soap making.
Botany
Also known as "Giracapo," the narcissus is a bulbous herbaceous plant up to fifty centimeters tall. It has long, sword-shaped leaves and highly fragrant white flowers. Native to the eastern Mediterranean, it has long since become naturalized in southern France.
