Description

The only natural oil obtained from the Lotus consists of an absolute obtained through solvent extraction; it has a bitter, almost bituminous odor, high viscosity, and poor stability. It is an extremely rare material, very expensive, and absolutely unusable - as is - by the end user (currently, sporadic production is carried out beyond the Alps for rare pharmaceutical uses). For this reason, every essence on the market is the result of an interpretation carried out by the perfumer in the laboratory.
The Lotus Flower essence recomposed by us represents a perfume with a warm and seductive oriental note, very pleasant and absolutely unique.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique, like the scent it emanates. Each vial is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in accordance with the regulations) its tamper-proof nature.

Uses

The Lotus Flower fragrance is used in perfumery, cosmetics and sometimes in refined soap making.

Botany

Also known as the "Lotus", the lotus grows in temperate and subtropical regions in still waters. It consists of aquatic herbs or shrubs with large, glaucous-green, waxy leaves; they can reach sixty centimeters in diameter and rise more than a meter above the water's surface. The flowers, large and highly ornamental, give off a distinctive aniseed scent; they can be pink, red, yellow, or white. In ancient Eastern religious symbolism, the lotus (of which about a hundred species are known) is a recurring element in both Buddhism and Hinduism, representing perfection, beauty, fertility, and wholeness. Some lotus species also grow in Italy.
