Description

As is well known, there is no natural essential oil actually extracted from Hawthorn, therefore the essences on the market are - without exception - compositions created by perfumers.
Our fragrance represents a tenacious and appreciated floral composition of high perfumery whose note likely recalls the intriguing olfactory atmosphere emanating from the plant in bloom: a typical spring atmosphere that can be easily replicated in the home by diffusing this concentrated Hawthorn oil through a diffuser.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with the law) its tamper-evident integrity.

Uses

Our Hawthorn fragrance is used in the composition of rich floral notes used in perfumery, cosmetics and soap making.

Botany

White in spring (flowering) and red in autumn (fruiting), hawthorn is a long-lived rose family that grows primarily in scrubland.
Native to Europe, it is also found in North Africa and North America, but is completely absent from the Southern Hemisphere.
It is a towering, highly branched shrub up to six meters tall; its young branches are spiny, with oval leaves and characteristic clusters of pinkish-white flowers. The reddish-brown fruits are actually false fruits, containing the actual fruit in the form of a stone within their pulp.
Flower infusions and fruit decoctions have been traditional herbal remedies for centuries, recommended for combating insomnia and water retention, respectively.
