Description

The authentic essence extracted from Frangipani flowers is now virtually impossible to find, and even if found, it would be prohibitively expensive. Therefore, the thematic essence we have been offering for decades is the result of an arduous reconstruction carried out in our laboratories. It is a tenacious floral-fruity note with an exotic character.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle made of special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique, like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with regulations) its tamper-proof nature.

Uses

Our Frangipani flower essence, characterized by a particular floral-fruity note, is used in perfumery and, sometimes, also in cosmetics, especially when a floral note with an exotic undertone is needed.

Botany

Native to tropical regions, the Frangipani owes its name to the Roman nobleman Muzio Frangipane, who is credited, in the Middle Ages, with composing one of the most famous perfumes of antiquity.
It seems, in fact, that he created the same perfume using the flowers of a centuries-extinct variety of Plumeria, which is said to have released a delightful scent, even more intense than jasmine and tuberose.
The Frangipani is a tree with large, fragrant flowers, typically orange-pink (or even white), that bloom year-round. These flowers contain a poisonous latex.
