Description

As is well known, no natural essential oil is extracted from Cyclamen; by virtue of this, our high perfumery fragrance originates from a complicated laboratory reconstruction through which the particular, fleeting floral note released by the Cyclamen flower was reproduced.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases. Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in accordance with the regulations) its tamper-evident integrity.

Uses

Our Cyclamen fragrance is intended for fine perfumery; it is also used as a fragrance component in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.

Botany

Cyclamen derives its name from the Greek "kyklos", meaning "circle," likely due to the rounded shape of its tuberous roots. Native to Greece and the Middle East, it is a perennial herbaceous plant.
It features ovate leaves with silvery spots and solitary, very fragrant, carmine-purple (almost violet) flowers.
It grows wild throughout the Mediterranean basin (as well as in more distant countries such as Somalia and Iran) in cool locations, preferably in humus-rich woodland, near streams, and among rocks.
It has long been widely used in flower growing, both as a potted plant and in rock gardens.
