Description

Essence reconstituted with stabilized natural citrus essential oils.
PS: Product also available as pure oil.

Our exclusive 13.5 ml (0.46 fl. oz.) bottle in special transparent neutral glass enhances the chromatic properties of the various oils: each is visible in its natural color, completely unique like the scent it releases.
Each bottle is equipped with a special heat-shrinkable transparent polymer seal to guarantee (in compliance with the law) its tamper-evident integrity.

Extraction

Cedarwood essential oil is obtained by cold-pressing the fresh peels and appears as a clear, yellow-greenish liquid with a fresh, citrusy scent, typically citric but slightly richer than the more common lemon essential oil. It blends well with the essential oils of bergamot, sweet calamus, cypress, juniper, rosewood, frankincense, neroli, rosemary, clary sage, ylang-ylang, and vetiver.

Property

Cedarwood essential oil, completely non-toxic, like lemon oil, is known in aromatherapy for its refreshing and antidepressant properties. It is an excellent remedy for acne, eczema, insect bites, calluses, and cold sores. When applying it to the skin, avoid sunlight, as it is phototoxic.

Uses

Our Cedar essence is widely used in pharmacies and perfumeries as a flavoring agent.

Botany

Native to Southeast Asia, the citron is cultivated primarily in Calabria, the Middle East, India, Indonesia, the USA, and Australia. Also known as "Citro," it is a small tree up to four meters tall, with smooth, oval leaves up to twenty centimeters long and fragrant white flowers.
The fruit of this tree, traditionally associated with nobility, is mostly oval in shape and grows up to thirty centimeters in size with a characteristically thick, wrinkled rind; initially green, it turns yellow as it ripens.
Like the lemon, the citron is considered a true "cure-all" in several southern European countries.
