Description

100% pure and concentrated essential oil of natural origin in an 11.3 ml (0.34 fl. oz. ) glass bottle ; this product is completely free from: stabilizers, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and treatments (even of semi-finished products) with gamma rays and has been packaged and sealed as it came, i.e., without having undergone any transformation and/or alteration of any kind and in the most diligent observance of all laboratory precautions. In accordance with EC Regulation 1334/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union, provided they are highly pure, many essential oils (including Yarrow) are declared "food flavourings" and can therefore be taken as supplements.

Extraction

Yarrow essential oil is a blue liquid with a strong, fresh, herbaceous-camphoraceous odor, obtained by steam distilling the dried plant.

Affinity

Yarrow essential oil harmonizes perfectly with the essential oils of: Matricaria chamomile, Cedar, Juniper, Pine, Valerian, Vetiver as well as with oakmoss absolute.

Property

Yarrow has a long tradition as a medicinal remedy for a wide range of ailments. Its use as a wound dressing is mentioned as early as Pliny. The essential oil obtained from it is effective in treating acne, burns, inflammation, and lacerations. It is also beneficial for insomnia and hypertension.

Uses

Yarrow essential oil is occasionally used in pharmaceutical preparations for dermatological purposes. It is also used as a flavoring in liqueurs (bitters).

Botany

Native to Eurasia, Achillea is also known as "yarrow". Today, it grows in most temperate regions of the world, where it has fully acclimated. It is a herbaceous perennial plant up to one meter tall, with lace-like leaves and small pinkish-white flowers.
