100% pure and concentrated essential oil of natural origin in an 11.3 ml (0.34 fl. oz. ) glass bottle ; this product is completely free from: stabilizers, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and treatments (even of semi-finished products) with gamma rays and has been packaged and sealed as it came, i.e., without having undergone any transformation and/or alteration of any kind and in the most diligent observance of all laboratory precautions. Extraction
Tarragon essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and flowering tops. It is a nearly colorless liquid with a sweet, spicy, herbaceous, aniseed-like odor.
Affinity
Tarragon essential oil blends well with the essential oils of Basil, Cistus, Lavender and Mountain Pine as well as with Oakmoss absolute.
Property
In Europe, tarragon has been used medicinally for centuries as a remedy against venomous animal bites; it is also commonly used as a condiment. In the East, the leaves of this plant are still used to make a herbal tea to stimulate the appetite.
Due to its estragole content, tarragon essential oil is mildly toxic and should therefore be used sparingly. It has antiseptic, stimulant, and even hypnotic properties.

Uses
Tarragon essential oil is classically used as a flavouring agent in perfumery, cosmetics, soap making, the food industry (sauces and spices) as well as in the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industry.
Botany
Also known as "Russian tarragon", tarragon is native to Eurasia. Currently cultivated nearly worldwide, it is a herbaceous perennial plant up to 1.2 meters tall, with an erect stem and glossy, narrow, smooth leaves. It features characteristic yellow-green panicle inflorescences.
