Attention

Absolutely avoid the " do-it-yourself" internal use of essential oils,as this can be highly dangerous. It is advisable to always proceed with a medical prescription issued exclusively by a competent and qualified professional.
As per the declaration of conformity published in the brochure, the plant-based raw materials selected and processed for the production of this essential oil are of scrupulous and certified organic origin. This, in concrete terms, guarantees the provenance of the material from a farm management system that substantially limits the use of fertilizers and pesticides, in order to protect both the harvest and the environment, as well as promote sustainable agricultural development.
The information leaflet included with the packaging contains all the information regarding the natural preparation, including the analytical bulletin, declaration of conformity, botanical description, and the possibility of use as a " food flavoring", etc.

Extraction

Swiss pine essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of needles and twigs. It appears as a clear, virtually colorless liquid with a sweet, balsamic-resinous scent reminiscent of mountain pine.

Affinity

Swiss pine essential oil harmonizes well with the essential oils of: caraway, cypress, copaiba, elemi, juniper, lavender, nutmeg, ravensara, rosemary, sage, ylang ylang, with spicy oils, with citrus oils and with the oils of other conifers in general.

Property

In the folk pharmacopoeia of Nordic peoples, pine enjoys a long-standing tradition, especially as a remedy for respiratory problems.
Swiss pine essential oil, when used in moderate quantities, is completely non-toxic and non-irritating; it is a rare and valuable conifer essence, highly prized in aromatherapy thanks in part to its gentleness. It possesses antitussive, expectorant, antiseptic, antiviral, balsamic, rubefacient, and deodorant properties.

Uses

Swiss pine oil is sometimes used in perfumery as a woody base for the composition of natural woodland notes, as well as a fragrance component in personal hygiene products (especially aftershave lotions). It is less commonly used in pharmacy and/or soap making.
Renowned for its value, the wood of this tree is also used to carve sculptures.

Botany

Also known as "Cirmolo" or simply "Cembra", the Swiss stone pine is a long-lived evergreen that grows above 1,200 meters above sea level. Native to the mountainous regions of the Alps and Carpathians, it is a cylindrical-conical shrub that reaches up to twenty-five meters in height, with smooth, gray bark, stiff, dark green needle-like leaves gathered in clusters of five needles (the only wild European pine species to exhibit this characteristic), and cones up to seven centimeters long.
