Attention

Absolutely avoid the " do-it-yourself" internal use of essential oils,as this can be highly dangerous. It is advisable to always proceed with a medical prescription issued exclusively by a competent and qualified professional.
As per the declaration of conformity published in the brochure, the plant-based raw materials selected and processed for the production of this essential oil are of scrupulous and certified organic origin. This, in concrete terms, guarantees the provenance of the material from a farm management system that substantially limits the use of fertilizers and pesticides, in order to protect both the harvest and the environment, as well as promote sustainable agricultural development.
The information leaflet included with the packaging contains all the information regarding the natural preparation, including the analytical bulletin, declaration of conformity, botanical description, and the possibility of use as a " food flavoring," etc.

Extraction

Sweet fennel essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds and appears as a clear, almost colorless liquid, with a warm, herbaceous-camphoraceous odor with aniseed undertones.

Affinity

Sweet Fennel essential oil blends well with the essential oils of Dill, Geranium, Lavender, Rose, and Sandalwood.

Property

Besides being prized as a food, fennel has long been renowned in Europe for its herbal properties: it was believed to be a source of strength, courage, and longevity. Fennel essential oil, sweet, non-toxic, and non-irritating, has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, purifying, vermifuge, and stimulant properties. In the past, this natural product was used to treat skin sores, gum problems, and oily skin.

Uses

Sweet fennel essential oil is used both in pharmaceuticals (especially in cough preparations) and as a fragrance component in perfumes that deodorize soaps and cosmetics, as well as a "masking agent" in industrial sprays such as insecticides. The beverage industry uses it extensively in soft drinks and liqueurs.

Botany

Native to the island of Malta, fennel is now grown primarily in France, Italy, and Greece. It is a herbaceous plant up to two meters tall with laciniate leaves, golden yellow flowers, and a taproot.
