Description

100% pure and concentrated essential oil of natural origin in an 11.3 ml (0.34 fl. oz. ) glass bottle ; this product is completely free from: stabilizers, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and treatments (even of semi-finished products) with gamma rays and has been packaged and sealed as it came, i.e., without having undergone any transformation and/or alteration of any kind and in the most diligent observance of all laboratory precautions. In accordance with EC Regulation 1334/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union, provided they are highly pure, many essential oils (including Savory) are declared "food flavourings" and can therefore be taken as supplements.

Extraction

Winter savory essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the entire plant and appears as an almost colorless liquid with a pungent, herbaceous, medicinal odor.

Affinity

Winter savory essential oil blends well with citrus oils, lavender, pine, and rosemary essential oils, as well as oakmoss absolute.

Property

Besides being a well-known seasoning herb, savory is also used (especially in Germany) as a digestive and intestinal remedy.
Savory essential oil has vermifuge and fungicidal properties, but is also toxic and irritating, so much so that it is considered dangerous. For this reason, it should never be used in its pure form for aromatherapy purposes, either internally or externally.
A bactericidal and antiseptic far superior to any other essential oil, it should be handled in minimal doses and with caution.

Uses

Winter savory essential oil is rarely used in perfumery. It is more commonly used as a flavoring for condiments.

Botany

Also known as "anchovy herb", the Winter ​​savory is native to the Mediterranean region, from where it spread throughout Europe, Turkey, and Russia. It is a perennial plant no taller than forty centimeters, with a woody stem, linear leaves, and purple flowers.
