Attention

Absolutely avoid the " do-it-yourself" internal use of essential oils,as this can be highly dangerous. It is advisable to always proceed with a medical prescription issued exclusively by a competent and qualified professional.
As per the declaration of conformity published in the brochure, the plant-based raw materials selected and processed for the production of this essential oil are of scrupulous and certified organic origin. This, in concrete terms, guarantees the provenance of the material from a farm management system that substantially limits the use of fertilizers and pesticides, in order to protect both the harvest and the environment, as well as promote sustainable agricultural development.
The information leaflet included with the packaging contains all the information regarding the natural preparation, including the analytical bulletin, declaration of conformity, botanical description, and the possibility of use as a " food flavoring", etc.

Extraction

Rosewood essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the wood chips and appears as a light yellow liquid with a distinctive and strong woody-spicy odor, very sweet, warm, almost floral.

Affinity

Rosewood essential oil blends well with virtually all essential oils, but especially with citrus, floral, and woody oils.

Property

Rosewood essential oil, composed mostly of linalool, was the only source of this important aromatic compound until organic chemistry was able to synthesize it. It is now almost impossible to find due to the absolute ban on felling the plants in their countries of origin. Non-toxic and non-irritating, it has stimulant, tonic, bactericidal, antiseptic, and aphrodisiac properties; it is also mildly analgesic. Thanks to its tissue- regenerating properties, it is effective in treating acne and dermatitis, as well as scars.

Uses

Rosewood essential oil was widely used in the production of soaps, cosmetics and perfumes with a spicy note as well as being present in foods and drinks.

Botany

Native to the Amazon, rosewood is found in Brazil and Peru, where it grows wild in the forests. It is a tropical evergreen tree with reddish bark and wood and yellow flowers. It is highly sought after for cabinetmaking, so much so that it has suffered massive felling, which has claimed considerable swathes of virgin forest. Today, it is a protected species.
