Property

Thanks to its excellent antiseptic properties, the traditional use of chamomile essential oil—non-toxic and non-irritating—has always been linked to the treatment of wounds, burns, insect bites, and acne-prone skin. In aromatherapy, it is considered an effective remedy for headaches and insomnia.

Uses

Botany

Also known as "Erba pomaria", Roman chamomile is native to the Iberian Peninsula. It is cultivated in England, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, France, and the United States. It is a small, woody perennial plant that grows to twenty-five centimeters tall, with a highly branched stem, pinnate, laciniate leaves, and white daisy-like flowers. The plant exudes a characteristic apple-like scent.
