Description

100% pure and natural essential oil of documented organic origin (Certificate CE-009577-2015) in an 11.3 ml (0.34 fl. oz.) glass bottle ; this product, also suitable for food use according to EC Regulation 1334/2008, is completely free from: stabilizers, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and treatments (even of semi-finished products) with gamma rays and has been packaged and sealed as it came, i.e., without having undergone any transformation and/or alteration of any kind and in the most diligent observance of all laboratory precautions. According to EC Regulation 1334/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union, provided they are very pure, many essential oils (including Nutmeg) are declared "food flavorings" and can therefore be taken as supplements.

Extraction

Nutmeg essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the shelled, dried, and worm-eaten seeds (also known as nuts). It appears as a clear, colorless or slightly yellowish liquid with an unmistakable warm, sweet, and spicy aroma.

Affinity

Nutmeg essential oil harmonizes well with all spicy oils as well as with the essential oils of: Orange, Coriander, Geranium, Lavender, Litsea cubeba, Green Mandarin, Petitgrain Paraguay, Rosemary and also with Benzoin and Oakmoss absolutes.

Property

Both in the East and the West, nutmeg is considered a valuable remedy for treating kidney, digestive, and intestinal problems.
Nutmeg essential oil, non-toxic and non-irritating (when used in moderation), has antiseptic and analgesic properties; in aromatherapy, it is considered a supreme aphrodisiac, even effective in combating impotence.

Uses

Nutmeg essential oil is used in pharmacy in the formulation of analgesic preparations and lotions as well as in cosmetics, soap making and perfumery (especially in the formulations of men's fragrances).

Botany

Native to the Moluccas, nutmeg is grown primarily in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies. It is an evergreen tree that grows up to twenty meters tall, with dense foliage and small, dull yellow flowers.
