Description

100% pure and concentrated essential oil of natural origin in an 11.3 ml (0.34 fl. oz.) glass bottle ; this product is completely free from: stabilizers, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and treatments (even of semi-finished products) with gamma rays and has been packaged and sealed as it came, i.e., without having undergone any transformation and/or alteration of any kind and in the most diligent observance of all laboratory precautions. In accordance with EC Regulation 1334/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union, provided they are highly pure, many essential oils (including garlic) are declared "food flavourings" and can therefore be taken as supplements.

Extraction

Garlic essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of fresh garlic bulbs.
It appears as a yellow liquid with a powerful and penetrating sulfurous odor, pungent and olfactively repellent.

Affinity

Garlic essential oil does not harmonize with any other essential oil, probably representing the natural plant product with the most violent, fetid odor known.

Property

Garlic essential oil is nontoxic and nonirritating and has antiseptic, antibacterial, antitumor, fungicidal, insecticidal, larvicidal, and purifying properties. Given its unique olfactory characteristics, although completely harmless, it must be handled with care and in controlled quantities.

Uses

Garlic essential oil is used in pharmacy (in the formulation of products against hypertension), in agriculture (as an ingredient in fertilizers), and in the food industry as a flavoring for appetizers and spicy foods.

Botany

Garlic is a highly aromatic, bulbous perennial plant that grows up to four feet tall. It has long, membranous leaves and stems bearing clusters of whitish flowers.
Native to Siberia, it is cultivated worldwide. The largest producers are Egypt, Bulgaria, France, China, Germany, and Japan.
