Attention

Absolutely avoid the " do-it-yourself" internal use of essential oils,as this can be highly dangerous. It is advisable to always proceed with a medical prescription issued exclusively by a competent and qualified professional.
As per the declaration of conformity published in the brochure, the plant-based raw materials selected and processed for the production of this essential oil are of scrupulous and certified organic origin. This, in concrete terms, guarantees the provenance of the material from a farm management system that substantially limits the use of fertilizers and pesticides, in order to protect both the harvest and the environment, as well as promote sustainable agricultural development.
The information leaflet included with the packaging contains all the information regarding the natural preparation, including the analytical bulletin, declaration of conformity, botanical description, and the possibility of use as a " food flavoring", etc.

Extraction

Cypress essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of twigs and leaves. It appears as a clear, yellow-green liquid that emits a persistent, smoky, sweet, and balsamic scent.

Affinity

Cypress essential oil harmonizes well with the essential oils of: Ambrette, Orange, Bergamot, Moroccan Chamomile, Cardamom, Cedar, Cistus, Juniper, Marjoram, Mandarin, Frankincense, Pine, Clary Sage, Sandalwood as well as with Benzoin absolute.

Property

In ancient times, cypress was a highly prized plant, both as a medicine and as a fumigation material. In China, it is still used as a pharmaceutical remedy. In Tibet, it is still burned as a purifying incense. In the past, the cones (fruits) were used to make "Teade", a pleasant medicinal infusion (especially in Italy).
Cypress wood, highly resistant to humidity and resistant to moth attack, was a sought-after building material for boats of all kinds for millennia.
Cypress essential oil, non-toxic and non-irritating, has antiseptic, hemostatic, deodorant, tonic, and vasoconstrictor properties.

Uses

Cypress essential oil is used in colognes, aftershaves, and perfumes. It is used, less frequently, in pharmacies.

Botany

The cypress is a large conifer with a characteristic conical crown, native to the eastern Mediterranean and now growing wild throughout the Mediterranean basin and in England.
It can grow to over forty meters tall and has fissured bark, slender branches, and small, dark green, scale-like leaves. Many species of cypress grow worldwide; the highest-quality oil is extracted from the "sempervirens
" variety.
