Description

100% pure and natural essential oil of documented organic origin (Certificate CE-009577-2015) in an 11.3 ml (0.34 fl. oz.) glass bottle ; this product, also suitable for food use according to EC Regulation 1334/2008, is completely free from: stabilizers, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and treatments (even of semi-finished products) with gamma rays and has been packaged and sealed as it came, i.e., without having undergone any transformation and/or alteration of any kind and in the most diligent observance of all laboratory precautions. According to EC Regulation 1334/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union, provided they are highly pure, many essential oils (including cinnamon leaf) are declared "food flavorings" and can therefore be taken as supplements.

Extraction

Cinnamon essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of leaves and twigs and appears as an amber-yellow liquid with a warm, slightly pungent, spicy odor.

Affinity

The essential oil obtained from the leaves of Cinnamon harmonizes well with the essential oils of: Orange, Frankincense, Mandarin, Olibanum, Black Pepper, Ylang Ylang as well as with Benzoin absolute.

Property

In the East, cinnamon has a millennia-old tradition as a remedy for a wide range of ailments (nausea, colds, flu, digestive problems, etc.).
Cinnamon essential oil, generally non-toxic and slightly irritating, has numerous medicinal properties, being simultaneously antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiputrefactive, aphrodisiac, astringent, hemostatic, parasiticide, refrigerant, stimulant, and vermifuge. It is also excellent for combating mental fatigue and nervous tension.

Uses

Cinnamon leaf essential oil is widely used in the production of soaps, cosmetics, and perfumes with a spicy note.

Botany

Native to Madagascar, Ceylon, and Indochina, cinnamon is now also cultivated in India, Jamaica, and Africa. It is a tropical evergreen tree up to fifteen meters tall, with sturdy branches, thick bark, leathery, glossy green leaves, and small white flowers.
