The explanatory brochure that accompanies the packaging contains all the information relating to the natural preparation, including the analytical bulletin, the declaration of conformity, the botanical description, the possibility of use as a " food flavoring", etc.

Extraction

Bucco essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried leaves. It appears as a dark yellow, greenish liquid with a powerful, herbaceous, camphorated scent with a minty undertone.

Affinity

Bucco essential oil harmonizes well with the essential oils of: Cedar, Lavender, Lemon, Marjoram, Melissa, Mint and Red Thyme.

Property

As a remedy, Bucco has been used for centuries as a diuretic.
The extremely rare essential oil of Bucco, relatively non-toxic, has antiseptic, insect-repellent, and insecticidal properties. Excellent for deodorizing the home, the intense note it releases, from an olfactory point of view, probably represents the most "herbaceous" thing you can detect with your nose.

Uses

No aromatherapeutic properties are known associated with Bucco essential oil, which however is used in pharmacy and occasionally also in perfumery.

Botany

Native to the southern tip of Africa, Bucco is a small, strongly aromatic shrub with a scent similar to European blackcurrant. It has two types of leaves: wrinkled and glossy, as well as long stems bearing white, five-petalled flowers. It grows wild throughout South Africa. The plant's dried leaves are exported to Europe and America both as a homeopathic remedy (due to their diuretic and antiseptic properties) and as an infusion.
