Description

100% pure and natural essential oil of documented organic origin (Certificate CE-009577-2015) in an 11.3 ml (0.34 fl. oz.) glass bottle ; this product, also suitable for food use according to EC Regulation 1334/2008, is completely free from: stabilizers, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and treatments (even of semi-finished products) with gamma rays and has been packaged and sealed as it came, i.e., without having undergone any transformation and/or alteration of any kind and in the most diligent observance of all laboratory precautions. According to EC Regulation 1334/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union, provided they are very pure, many essential oils (including black pepper) are declared "food flavorings" and can therefore be taken as supplements.

Extraction

Black pepper essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried and crushed drupes (seeds). It appears as an olive-colored liquid with a typical dry-woody, warm, and spicy aroma.

Affinity

Black Pepper essential oil harmonizes well with the essential oils of: Angelica, Clove, Frankincense, Lavender, Marjoram, Palo Santo, Ravensara, Rosemary, Rose and Sandalwood.

Property

Pepper (mentioned in ancient Ayurvedic medical texts) has been used in the East for over four millennia for medicinal and seasoning purposes.
Black pepper essential oil is completely non-toxic but can become irritating if used in large quantities. It has analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitoxic, aphrodisiac, bactericidal, stimulant, and rubefacient properties.

Uses

Black pepper essential oil is used in perfumery as a fragrance component in unusual compositions, in pharmacy (formulation of tonic preparations) as well as in the food and liquor industries.

Botany

Native to southwestern India, pepper is widely cultivated in tropical countries (particularly India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Madagascar).
It consists of a perennial, woody tendril up to five meters tall, with leathery, heart-shaped leaves and small white flowers. The fruit is a berry containing a single drupe.
