Attention

Absolutely avoid the " do-it-yourself" internal use of essential oils,as this can be highly dangerous. It is advisable to always proceed with a medical prescription issued exclusively by a competent and qualified professional.
As per the declaration of conformity published in the brochure, the plant-based raw materials selected and processed for the production of this essential oil are of scrupulous and certified organic origin. The information leaflet included with the packaging contains all the information regarding the natural preparation, including the analytical bulletin, declaration of conformity, botanical description, and the possibility of use as a " food flavoring", etc.

Extraction

Laurel essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried leaves and sprigs. It is a greenish liquid with a powerful balsamic, medicinal, and spicy aroma.

Affinity

Laurel essential oil harmonizes well with the essential oils of: Cypress, Cistus, Juniper, Frankincense, Pine, Ravensara, as well as with citrus oils and spicy oils.

Property

Known for crowning the heads of victors in ancient Rome and Greece, laurel has long been used in culinary art throughout Europe. Its berries were once used to combat loss of appetite and as an antipyretic. Today, the plant's medicinal use is very limited, as its marked narcotic properties are now well known.
Noble laurel essential oil has antiseptic, balsamic, bactericidal, parasiticide, fungicide, and sedative properties.

Uses

Laurel essential oil is used as a fragrance component in perfumery (especially aftershave), in cosmetics, and in the shelf-stable food and beverage industries.

Botany

Also known as "Roman laurel", laurel grows in many regions of the world despite being native to the Mediterranean basin. It is cultivated in France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Russia. It is an evergreen tree up to twenty meters tall, with an erect trunk, black berries, and fragrant, dark green leaves that are glossy on the upper surface.
