Extraction
The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the fresh flowering tops. It appears as a colorless or yellowish liquid with a powerful, fresh, herbaceous scent with a balsamic-woody undertone.
Property
Rosemary essential oil has undisputed analgesic, antimicrobial, antiseptic, healing, parasiticide, and tonic properties. A scalp stimulant, it is an excellent remedy for acne and seborrhea.
It blends well with the essential oils of basil, cinnamon, cedar, lemongrass, elemi, cistus, frankincense, lavender, peppermint, oregano, petitgrain, pine, thyme, and spicy oils.

Botany
Also known as "Ramerino," it is native to the Mediterranean basin. It is a bushy evergreen shrub up to two meters tall with silvery-green needle-like leaves and blue flowers. The entire plant is intensely aromatic. It is currently cultivated worldwide.
