Extraction
Hemp essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of leaves and flowers with a very low yield: only one milliliter is obtained per kilogram of fresh plant; it appears as a transparent, yellow-ochre liquid with an intoxicating, grassy-fresh, "green" scent reminiscent of hay.
NB: since the delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol ("THC") content of the Cannabis sativa essential oil we distribute is less than 0.2% (as certified by the manufacturer, who determines the content batch by batch according to the method indicated in Annex C of EC Regulation No. 1177/2000), it complies with the requirements set out in Law No. 2 of 2 December 2016 and therefore constitutes a completely legal product.

Property
Hemp essential oil (not to be confused with the common vegetable oil obtained by pressing the plant's seeds) is a precious medicinal distillate (among the most effective) that is completely non-toxic and non-irritating. It has analgesic, anxiolytic, anti-inflammatory, and mildly narcotic properties.
Using a simple diffuser, you can benefit from its multiple effects: it promotes the release of endorphins (the pleasure hormones), combats insomnia , and stimulates the appetite.
It harmonizes perfectly with the essential oils of: Norway spruce, angelica, dill, bucco, Roman chamomile, elemi, juniper, lavender, nutmeg, black pepper, and clary sage.

Uses
Because it is a rather expensive raw material, scarcely available, and relatively new to the market, its industrial applications are currently limited. However, the well-known natural active ingredients contained in hemp essential oil are increasingly being used in the medical field.
This natural distillate is the main fragrance component in soaps, perfumes, and artisanal themed cosmetics. It is also used to a limited extent in the preparation of rather unusual foods and beverages.
The relevant technical and safety documentation for the product is available upon request.

Botany
Also known as "Canamo" or "useful hemp", it is a species native to the Himalayas, cultivated for millennia to produce its renowned textile fiber. Currently, the largest producers are China, North Korea, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, and Hungary.
It is an aromatic herbaceous plant up to five meters tall with palmate leaves with lanceolate tips and serrated edges that reach up to ten centimeters in length. The purple flowers appear in clusters (male) and spikes (female).
It is widely used both as a narcotic and, in medicine, as a narcotic and painkiller.
