Botany
Native to the eastern Mediterranean basin and North Africa, Helichrysum is now cultivated in Italy, Spain, France, and Croatia.
It is a highly aromatic herbaceous plant with a branched stem, pubescent leaves, and characteristic daisy-like flowers, which, drying as the plant grows, retain their color. Growing up to sixty centimeters tall, it typically grows in arid, stony soil.
