Extraction
Cardamom essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the dried seeds. It appears as a colorless (or vaguely yellowish) liquid with a characteristic warm, spicy-sweet scent with woody-balsamic undertones.

Cardamom essential oil has always been renowned for its revitalizing and toning properties for mature skin; however, this fragrant oil also boasts strong antiseptic

Uses

Botany
Native to tropical Asia (mainly southern India), cardamom is widely cultivated in India and Central America. It is a reed-like herbaceous perennial with characteristic saber-shaped leaves. It grows up to four meters tall and produces yellowish flowers with purple tips, gathered in spikes.
