EASTERN SWEET AMBERPerfume
From Liquidambar Orientalis, a tall tree that grows in the impenetrable Anatolian forests of Marmaris (also called "Oriental sweetgum") we obtain two irreplaceable aromatic raw materials: Storax resinoid, essential in perfumery, extracted from the pathological serum exuded by the plant as well as the related balsam called Black Storax which is none other than the result of a particular procedure of maceration of said resinoid mixed with the shredded bark of the tree.
These natural products were traded between the Mediterranean shores as early as the classical era.
Oriental Sweet Amber, formulated from the processing of natural Storax resinoid, is a high perfumery composition characterised by a beguiling warm, spicy, oriental sweet-amber note, absolutely recognisable by those who remember the intriguing olfactory experience given only by smelling black Storax, the well-known natural balsam of Asia Minor: a precious aromatic product characteristic of the Anatolian/Aegean region.
A very tenacious fragrance with significant fixative properties.
Our Oriental Sweet Amber is ideal for use in perfumery as an ingredient in high-class oriental fragrances and is used for aromatisation purposes in cosmetics and luxury soaps.
