Originally from China, the sweet orange has adapted well to the Mediterranean climate and is extensively cultivated throughout this region. It's also grown in the United States.
The sweet orange tree is an evergreen that’s smaller and less resistant to disease than the bitter variety. It has a smooth trunk and branches, glossy dark green ovate leaves, long thorns and fragrant white flowers. The fruit has a sweet flesh and neutral membrane.

The essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the fresh peels, and is a clear, dark orange liquid with a sweet, fresh, fruity scent that combines well with the essential oils of Cinnamon, Clary sage, Clove, Lavender, Lemon, Neroli, Nutmeg, and Myrrh absolute.

CITRUS AURANTIUM (var. Dulcis) 
Essential oil of sweet orange is totally non-toxic and non-irritant. It is a natural anti-depressant that has anti-inflammatory, anti-septic, bactericidal, fungicidal and tonic properties.
It’s also excellent for treating lustreless or oily skins, although it should be used in moderation as it is phototoxic.
Sweet orange oil is used as a flavouring agent in the drinks industry and as a fragrance component in detergents, cosmetics and perfumes (masculine scents).
It’s also the base ingredient for the production of natural limonene.

100% natural, pure essential oil of certified organic origin (CE certification 009577-2015) in glass vial (11.3 ml, 0.40 fl. oz.); this product, also suitable for food use based on EC regulation 1334/2008, is totally free of stabilizing agents, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and gamma ray treatment (including products in the semi-finished state).
As indicated in the declaration of conformity, the selected and processed raw materials used in the production of this essential oil are of certified organic origin. This guarantees that the raw materials are produced by a farming system which imposes stringent controls on the use of fertilizers and pest control.
