Peppermint is a hybrid plant which has been grown in England since the 16th century. It is a herbaceous plant which grows to a height of one metre. It has bright green, downy, lanceolate leaves and is highly aromatic.

OLFACTIVE AFFINITIES
The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the whole plant while blossoming, and is a transparent, colourless liquid with a penetrating, icy-green scent. It combines well with the essential oils of Buchu, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Marjoram, Rosemary, other mint oils and absolute Benzoin oil.

MENTHA PIPERITA 
Mint has a long tradition in herbal medicine, in the West as well as the East.
Essential oil of peppermint is totally non-toxic and non-irritant (except in high concentrations). It has balsamic, anti-septic, anti-helminthic and antipruriginose properties. Long used for soothing toothache, it's an effective remedy for acne, halitosis, migraine and scabies; and thanks to its anti-spasmodic action, it's a good remedy for asthma.
It's used in formulations for mouthwashes, toothpastes, disinfectants and cough medicines. Also found as a flavouring agent in foods and chewing gum, it's widely used in soaps and perfumes too.

100% natural, pure essential oil of certified organic origin (CE certification 009577-2015) in glass vial (11.3 ml, 0.40 fl. oz.); this product, also suitable for food use based on EC regulation 1334/2008, is totally free of stabilizing agents, fixatives, pesticides, GMOs and gamma ray treatment (including products in the semi-finished state).
