PINK GRAPEFRUITPerfume
The grapefruit is an evergreen tree originally found in tropical Asia and the West Indies. It's now mainly grown in California, Florida, Brazil and Israel. It grows to a height of ten metres, and has glossy, dark green leaves and large yellow fruit.

OLFACTIVE AFFINITIES
The essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the peel of the fresh fruit, and is a clear liquid with a sweet and fresh citric fragrance. It combines well with the essential oils of Bergamot, Cardamom, Citron, Cypress, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Neroli, Palmarosa, Ravensara, Rosemary, Verbena and all spicy oils.

Essential oil of grapefruit is totally non-toxic and non-irritating. It is photosensitive, and will oxidize when exposed to light.
It is effective in the treatment of acne and oily skin, thanks to its toning properties. It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties, and like nearly all citric essential oils is a powerful natural anti-depressant.
It's used as a fragrance ingredient in perfumes, soaps and detergents. The drinks industry often uses grapefruit oil as an ingredient in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
