PITTOSPORUM FLOWERPerfume
Pittosporum is originally from China and Japan, and some one hundred and fifty species of the plant exist.
It is an evergreen tree (or shrub) with a compact crown, glossy dark green lobed leaves and white or yellowish highly scented flowers.
It's commonly grown as a hedge to form a barrier against sea winds and frost.
PROPERTIES Natural oil from the flowers (or leaves) of the plant is not commercially available: ours is a reconstructed essence, and one of the few of its kind to reproduce with surprising authenticity the heady, intense fragrance given off by the blossoming plant.
It's infrequently used in cosmetics and perfumes with flowery notes.
