APRICOTPerfume
Originally from northern China, the apricot tree is now grown in many mountainous tropical and temperate regions.
It can grow to a height of seven metres. Its leaves are ovate with dentate margins, its blossom pinkish-white and its fruit pale orange with a velvety texture. The apricot is commonly used in preserves, candies and syrups.
PROPERTIES No natural essential oil is extracted from the apricot; all commercial oils are therefore laboratory reconstitutions.
Talia apricot oil is prized for its fresh and decidedly summery fragrance that's highly persistent and a perfect facsimile of the aroma of the freshly-picked ripe fruit.
It’s used in perfumes for its fruity aroma and, more occasionally, in cosmetics.
