TUBEROSE Originally from central America (where it grows spontaneously), Tuberose is now cultivated for its oil in southern France, Morocco, Egypt and China.
It is a delicate herbaceous plant which grows to a height of thirty-five centimetres, with long, narrow leaves and large, highly fragrant white flowers. In appearance it's similar to the Lily.
EXTRACTION OLFACTIVE AFFINITIES The essential oil is an absolute. Solvent extraction of the fresh flower buds, cut before they open, yields a paste which is distilled to produce the absolute oil. It has a sweet, floral fragrance that's intense and lingering, and slightly spicy to some noses. It combines well with the essential oils of Acacia, Gardenia, Indian spikenard flower, Neroli, Rose and Ylang-ylang.
PROPERTIES (according to popular herbalist tradition) The natural absolute obtained from Tuberose buds has mildly narcotic properties.
It's extremely difficult to find commercially, given the prohibitive production costs. In fact it is probably the most expensive natural aromatic raw material in existence.
All commercially available Tuberose oil is a laboratory reconstitution, therefore, with no other aromatherapeutic properties than its extremely pleasant perfume.
Our Tuberose oil is a fragrance with a warm and seductive note which faithfully emulates the unique fragrance of the natural absolute. It's used in floral and oriental compositions for high-end perfumes.
Our exclusive bottle made of special clear neutral glass (0,48 fl. Oz. - 13,5 ml.) exalts the various oils' chromatic properties. The natural colour of each oil is clearly visible - an exclusive characteristic just like the perfume it gives off.
All bottles are fitted with a special, thermo-shrunk, transparent, polymer seal in order to guarantee intactness as required by law. |
